An open sewing studio is a creative space where sewists can come together to work on their projects, share their knowledge, and learn from one another. In this type of studio, there is no formal oversight, allowing sewists to work at their own pace and choose the projects that interest them.

This informal setting allows for a more relaxed and collaborative atmosphere with a focus on self-directed learning and growth. The open sewing studio provides a unique opportunity for sewists of all levels to come together, work on their projects, and connect with others who share their passion for sewing.

Open Studio time is yours to fill with any project or project preparation you want. However, you must be able to use a sewing machine if you intend to use one during your time. You will provide fabric, notions, thread, and patterns. For a list of our shop tools, read our FAQ  page

Studiotime with oversight and guidance provides structure and support for those learning to sew or looking to improve their skills. With an experienced instructor available to answer questions and offer guidance, you can feel confident in your abilities and take your projects to the next level.

This type of studio is ideal for beginners who need extra support and for those looking to hone their skills in a structured environment. With a focus on learning and growth, oversight studiotime provides the perfect setting for sewing enthusiasts of all levels.

Sewing machine experience is preferred. Please provide fabric, thread and notions for your projects. If you have never used a sewing machine before, consider signing up for an Intro to Sewing workshop first

Sewing workshops offer practical skill-building and personal fulfillment. Participants learn how to sew, which can reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally, they provide an opportunity for socializing and community building.

Private sewing lessons offer personalized instruction tailored to the individual's skill level and interests. This one-on-one attention allows for a more efficient learning experience and the ability to focus on specific techniques or projects
